Our School

Challenger Elementary School is located in the center of the Klahanie housing development and was built in 1988 to serve Klahanie families. This neighborhood feel contributes to strong parent involvement and to the school’s importance as a community center.
Challenger Mission: The Challenger community collaborates to create meaningful learning opportunities that support and encourage all students to reach their academic, social-emotional, and personal potential.
Challenger Vision: All Challenger students will access opportunities to achieve their goals and positively impact the community.

Hi Challenger Comets!
I’m so excited to officially greet you as your new principal! It’s an honor to join the Challenger Elementary School community, and I’ve officially begun my role. If you missed my introductory email, I recently concluded nine wonderful years as an administrator in the Snoqualmie Valley School District, and I’m now delighted to turn my full attention to leading the Challenger community. I feel incredibly fortunate to join this amazing group of curious learners, dedicated staff, and supportive families.
A little about me: I have a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered. When I'm not at school, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and three boys. We enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, and playing soccer, and I can’t wait to share some of these adventures with all of you!
I’m looking forward to working with all of you to create a safe, welcoming environment where every child can thrive academically and socially. I also look forward to building meaningful relationships and strengthening our sense of community as we embark on this exciting journey together.
