This Week at Challenger 11/20/2025

Students have been working hard at following Comet Way expectations, and we have met our first school-wide goal of earning 1000 Comet Coins! This means we get to celebrate with a school PJ day tomorrow. This will be paired with our monthly spirit day, which just happens to be a stuffy day. We are all looking forward to a cozy end to the week.

This week at lunch, we introduced new lunchroom incentives for showing expected behavior - focusing first on eating, and then talking with our friends using a 1-2 voice level. Students at each lunchtime are filling up a big thermometer to earn a weekly reward. Our Multi-Lingual teacher, Ms. Askins, also taught the students a call-and-response chant to get students centered and reminded of the expectations at the beginning of each lunch.

As we enter the season of gratitude, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of you for the many ways you support our school community. From volunteering in multiple capacities, helping out with the PTA, reinforcing learning at home, or even packing school lunches and preparing your children to come to school each day, thank you for everything you do to partner with our school. I am grateful for your trust, your collaboration, and the joy your children bring to our building every day. I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with rest, warmth, and time with loved ones.

There will be no weekly bulletin next week. We will be back on December 4th!
