Eagle Scout Project Brings a Sensory Path to Challenger Playground

Students stand on a colorful playground in front of a school building under a cloudy sky.

Skyline High School Troop 695 | Eagle Scout Project Leader: Aadya S.

The Challenger Playground is now home to a colorful and engaging Sensory Path, thanks to the hard work and leadership of Aadya S., an Eagle Scout from Skyline High School Troop 695.

As the project leader, Aadya organized and led the creation of the Sensory Path, designed to provide students with an opportunity to move, explore, and engage their senses while enjoying the playground.
The project was completed over three dedicated sessions spanning three weeks. Each session brought the project one step closer to completion:
 • Session 1 – Sketching: The team planned and sketched the Sensory Path designs directly onto the playground surface.
 • Session 2 – Outlining: Volunteers carefully laid down the outlines, preparing each section for painting.
 • Session 3 – Painting: The final coats of colorful paint were applied, bringing the Sensory Path to life.

Through thoughtful planning, teamwork, and plenty of hard work, Aadya and the Troop 695 volunteers transformed an area of the Challenger Playground into a vibrant space for students to move, play, explore, and engage their senses.

We are incredibly grateful to Aadya, Skyline High School Troop 695, and all of the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to making this project possible. Their service has created a lasting addition to the Challenger Playground that students can enjoy for years to come.

Thank you, Aadya, and Troop 695, for making a difference at Challenger!
